Although it may have seemed like an eternity to many Samsung owners, a number of Samsung devices are now running the stable One UI 5 version of Android 13. Although it might not have seemed like it at the time, Samsung started rolling out the upgrade just two months after Android 13 was released. Now that it has achieved success, the corporation is celebrating by saying that it wants upcoming updates to be even quicker.
A press release was issued by Samsung to discuss the addition of One UI 5 to their lineup of products. The company begins the post by outlining the advantages of One UI 5 and then talks briefly about the release timeline for its tablets and Galaxy S, Z, and A devices later on.
Here, Samsung says that the Galaxy Tab S8, Tab S7 FE, Tab S7, and Tab S6 Lite will receive updates this year, along with the Z Flip series and the Z Fold 2 and 3. The company added that the update will begin to roll out to the S20 and Galaxy Note 20 series this month. The One UI 5 upgrade will be released for the Galaxy A53, A52 s 5G, A33 5G, and A32 later this year, it was also announced.
The deployment of One UI 5 outpaced earlier updates in terms of speed and scope, Samsung claims in the press release’s concluding section. Samsung maintains that even though the launch of One UI 5 went well, it wants to move even more quickly the next time around.
To achieve its goal of beating this latest update rollout, Samsung says that it “will continue to strengthen cooperation with Google and actively listen to user feedback to continue to update One UI faster and with higher perfection.”
The update for One UI 5 has been rolling out to various smartphones since it began in October, including the Galaxy S22 series, Fold 4 and Flip 4, S21, and the Tab S8. The One UI 5 release schedule may be viewed here.
